COVID 19 has a had a stall on the normal life of people . All of us are either grieving a loss of a loved one or one hospitalised, loss of job or business this is goes on. Some may recover quickly or some even have made great strands during the period, the question that still stands are willing to be well? Regardless of the situation life has to go on. Are you coming out stronger or see yourself broken and feel you won’t recover. Well as the saying goes the ball is in your court, one can decide to count the losses and move.
The fact that one is alive today that means that there is hope, chose hope, chose to move on knowing the future is bright and no situation is permanent. You can pick lessons from this period and purpose to become better even after this pandemic. Here are some ways to cope with the situation.
a)Having gratitude: This means thanks and appreciation, gratitude which rhymes with attitude, comes from latin word gratis which means thankful, pleasing. Everyone has that one thing they can be thankful for as I had earlier said the fact you still have breath that alone is enough to have gratitude.
b)Do not worry, Mathew 6:27 says And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life. Vs 34, So do not worry of be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own troubles. Actually worry gets one stressed and stress has effects on the body leading to headaches, high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, skin conditions, depression actually most of the non-communicable diseases are due to stress. So be anxious of nothing and take a day at a time.
c)Reach out, I know most people don’t want to show that there are vulnerable but we were created as human beings and we all have a relation aspect. As the saying a problem shared is a problem halved. Feel free to reach out.
