Rest as a form of Trust

Of late I have been going to bed late usually most of the blog posts have been done late in the evening writing them based on the inspirations I get during the day. For the past two days I have been thinking of resting and how helpful it’s necessary. We all know on the how you feel when you have been deprived of sleep; fatigue, poor concentration, stress the list is endless.

Here are some amazing facts you should know about. I happened to get them from this link. Click Here for more details.

  • Sleep deprivation will kill you more quickly than food deprivation

  • Humans spend 1/3 of their life sleeping.

  • It’s thought that up to 15% of the population are sleepwalkers

  • Within 5 minutes of waking up, 50% of your dream is forgotten.

  • Those born blind experience dreams involving things such as emotion, sound and smell rather than sight.

  • 12% of people dream entirely in black and white.

  • Sleep experts have discovered a direct link between people’s favourite sleeping positions and their personalities

We all know right from creation, God rested after creation of the world and so He saw it imperative that man should rest. There is something about sleep that no scientist can even explain actually one practically is half dead and how one gets to that point is a myth. Secondly the feeling when one gets up in the morning is one other amazing thing. But have you ever asked yourself this one thing that no one worries while sleeping you get to bed even with the burden of the day and believe trust that all is well. It actually reminds of me of Jesus Christ sleeping during the storm and the disciples were afraid and asked there master why He was asleep during the storm.

You have heard sleep over it, this means that there is a confidence that when one sleeps over something they tend to sober up and one is able to make a right decision. It’s important not to also to be when full of bitterness it will because this affects the quality of sleep. Let go of all the stress and the anger before going to rest. Today enter God’s rest.
