Today I would like to share thoughts on self-care. Self-care by definition means the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one’s own health. Do you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which means God lives inside of you and the responsibility of taking care of yourself in entirely in your hands. A focus on staying healthy and avoiding the need for medical care is not new, but today’s consumers have a wealth of information at their finger tips and an early endless array of strategies for getting well and staying well.

The COVID-19 period has left many of the systems crumbling living the entire Globe with many challenges ranging from health disparities and income inequality, food shortage, lack of education resources to even an epidermic of loneliness. Well with all global challenges we have the power in our hands to ensure that we take car of ourselves.

Life per se requires a holistic approach to a life of balance, by holistic I mean when Health, Family, wealth, Spirituality, and self are in sync. The good news all these we as individuals have the ability to work at ensuring all the five are functioning well. It’s said with the rapid escalation of healthcare costs have played a major role in inspiring a strong commitment to self-care. We are now seeing a rising quest of healthy life style, personal care and beauty products excluding harmful chemicals. We are seeing more traditional consumer health care segments have seen an influence of food and beverages ingredients and attributes with health and wellness benefits

In today’s culture there is arise in obsession with the goal of getting and staying healthy with the individuals at the driving seat. It has been seen on the other hand healthcare needs are often filled with in the traditional grocer aisles and increasing alternative treatment such as home remedies hence individuals taking a much holistic approach of their health. Indeed now self care is not necessarily one large action or behaviour, it’s now common series of small, increment actions and behaviour that accumulate to result in better health wellness.
